Meet Kate and floriori

"I've been drawing from my garden for as long as I can remember."

Kate Spain is the artist, designer, and Connecticut gardener behind Floriori. RISD-trained and awed by nature, she has spent nearly twenty years creating original botanical artwork that ends up on things people use and love — quilting fabrics, handmade rugs, phone cases, and apparel.

You may know her fabric collections for Moda Fabrics, her rugs through eyehearthand.earth, or her collaborations with Crate & Barrel. Each one starts the same way: a pencil, a blank page, and whatever is blooming or flying or growing outdoors.

Floriori is where that same hand-drawn world meets everyday life — wearable, holdable, livable art made for your day.

A Garden of Delights

Art That's Rooted in the Garden

Every design starts in the garden — drawn from whatever is blooming or catching the light outside, with the season setting the palette. Kate works from direct observation, letting nature lead: the angle of a stem, the texture of a petal, the way color shifts from spring to fall.

Made by Hand

Kate works in original illustration and woodblock-carved pattern, building designs with the texture and depth of something genuinely made. Every piece is drawn from scratch — no shortcuts, no generation. Just hand and eye and years of practice translated into art you can hold.

Made with Care.

Made for You.

Floriori is a small, independent business rooted in Connecticut — part of a creative studio Kate Spain has been building since 2008. Since 2015, we've been bringing her botanical artwork to life on premium phone cases and apparel.

Every order matters to us. We hope you find something here that feels like it was made just for you. Because in a way, it was.
